Descripción

We travel along part of National Route 40 heading south, seeing Lake Gutiérrez and Lake Mascardi.
Then, it joins Provincial Route 81 heading west, a mountain road, a gravel road with ascending and descending schedules, bordering Mascardi Lake, Los Moscos Lake, Manso Medio River, Hess Lake, Roca River. To reach the Cascada de los Alerces, a 20-meter waterfall of the Manso Medio River, which has a divine emerald green color, where we stayed as an outstanding photographic stop.

Then, we return to Provincial Route 82, heading west again, making different stops to reach the heart of the Andes Mountain Range, where we will find Cerro Tronador, the highest peak of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, with 3468 meters.

Mount Tronador is the highest peak of Nahuel Huapi National Park, it has a white mantle on its summits that are hanging glaciers, where the Ventisquero Negro dazzles, which is a black glacier in retreat that in twenty years in theory would not be seen again since it is thawing, retreating. These are the remains of the last glaciation of the National Park, glaciers that are between 75000 and 14000 years old.
